The real-life story of Pearl White (Betty Hutton), seamstress-turned-queen of the silent film serials. Pearl was famous for her serial THE PERILS OF PAULINE (1914), where she was always in danger (and did her own stunts). She ends up falling in love with her co-star (John Lund), but stardom conspires to tear them apart. Can their love hold them together?  Not your typical bio-pic, Betty Hutton (star of MIRACLE AT MORGAN'S CREEK) is at her charming best as the sweet and funny Pearl. Billy De Wolfe and William Demarest are hilarious!  Filmed in Techincolor.
