Singer/comedianne Judy Canova runs a hotel for her overbearing aunt, making just enough money to keep her rundown farm going. Her unscruplucous realtives are trying to dupe her into selling the farm to them, after being lead to believe by a couple of con artists that it has enormous value. A rib-tickling combination of slapstick and sentiment directed by Charles Lamont, who directed the Abbott and Costello comedies, as well as the Ma & Pa Kettle films. Canova's last of thirteen films she did for Republic Piuctures, the film includes her hits "Sleepy Serenade" and "I'm Awfully Glad I Was Born On My Birthday."
