Hercules (Reg Park) returns to his homeland Icalia to find that his love, Deianara (Leonora Ruffo) has gone mad. The evil King Lico (Christopher Lee) has put a spell on her and plans to sacrifice her in order to achieve his own immortality. Hercules must journey to Hades to retrieve the "Stone of Forgetfulness" to free Deianara from the evil spell and destroy King Lico. Very entertaining "sword and sandal" adventure from famed filmmaker Mario Bava (DANGER: DIABOLIK and PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES).
