Buck Rogers

are part of a
dirigible
crew on a North Pole expedition.
Caught in a blinding snow storm, they crash and are ordered to release an experimental gas, which unbeknownst to them, will put them in
suspended animation
until they are rescued. But in a cruel twist of fate, the dirigible is buried in an avalanche and isn't found for another 500 years. When Buck and Buddy are finally discovered, they awaken in the year 2440!
12 Chapter Universal Serial with Larry "Buster" Crabbe as Buck Rogers of the 25th Century. Crabbe had previously played Flash Gordon in two Universal serials and they capitalized on that success with this lavish space adventure.
