Tales of Tomorrow

The year was 1951. The Cold War was heating up. Flying saucers invaded our skies. Network television was only five years old and science fiction was entering its renaissance with such films as DESTINATION MOON and THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL.  From out of these turbulent times was born TV's first sci fi anthology series: TALES OF TOMORROW.
TALES OF TOMORROW was a thought-provoking series, featuring the top stars of the day. A show so different, it set the stage for other thriller-anthology series, such as THE TWILIGHT ZONE and THE OUTER LIMITS.
At the time, most science fiction productions were targeted to children, TALES OF TOMORROW was intended for adults. The producers wanted to blend mystery and science fiction, emphasizing fast pacing and suspense.
