An exciting historical drama in pre-Revolutionaly War America. Starring Tarzan actor Lex Barker as a fearless Indian scout who tries to broker a peace treaty between British Colonials and Chief Pontiac and his Ottawa tribe.

Lon Chaney, Jr. gives on of his finest screen performances with his dignified and restrained portrayal of Chief Pontiac. Filmed on a low-budget, the western made the most of the picturesque locations shot in the badlands of South Dakota. An u nder-rated film that is surprisingly historically accurate and  sympathetic in its portrayals of Native Americans Indians.
